WHO TEACHES Greg Edelston - professional personal trainer
The Summer instalment of Sculling Camp is upon us when we relocate to Hamhaugh Island at Shepperton to enjoy the fantastic opportunity afforded us by the bungalow ‘Cygnets’ to spend the weekend focusing on sculling on great water, with (hopefully) lovely weather from this great location by Shepperton Lock.
One final update from me as Cygnet Captain before my successor takes up the reins. The outgoing Captaincy team will have one last hurrah at the Captaincy elections, known more formally as the Club OGM, which takes place tomorrow night in the boathouse bar at 8:15pm. A big turnout from you all would be great as we usher in a shiny new Captaincy team to take us into 2013. The beer will be flowing afterwards so we look forward to seeing you there.
I hope all is well and you enjoyed this year’s Henley Royal Regatta. Those of us at Old Blades on Henley Friday certainly did and I’d like to start by thanking Peter and Pat Sly for their now legendary hospitality and also to our honorary member John Cork for providing an ample supply of wine for which the squad was very grateful. I hope you had a great day John. Thanks again.
Summer Regattas Latest
Despite not fielding a crew for HRR in 2012 some lucky Cygnets can still consider themselves 'winners' at this years regatta in winning a cash prize in our 2nd 300 Club draw of the year. The lucky ones are below and there was good representation for hand-on the balls in the Slys' garden as well as a (familiarly) enjoyable day all round.
