Cygnet Rowing Club
The Women's HoRR 15/03/2003

Although not strictly one of our events the Women's Head holds a special place in the hearts of all past and present members of (predominantly male) Cygnet RC. It is after all one of the few places where you can watch eight aerobicised little bums bending to lower a boat into the river over and over and over again. The only problem with the whole event is that as it is run in March the weather cannot always be relied upon to allow for halter tops and hipster leggings. Indeed some women could even be described as "dressing warmly" which really isn't playing the game. I myself have drafted several notes to Anne Southey to get the whole thing moved to mig-August but alas, have yet to receive any response.

The general feeling around the boathouse is that the BBLRC women did good this year (and not just with sandwich sales). Find a few pictures below. Those that look professional are and can be purchased from Jet Photograhic. Those that look shoddy are and can be purchased from Cygnet VC Chris Davidson at a price that no lady should be willing to pay.

You can also find some rather nice shots at BigBlade.

A very successful day. Well done.
