Pairs Head is currently on but will be run on a very limited basis due to both COVID-19 restrictions and the closure of Hammersmith Bridge to navigation. Full details are on the Pairs Head website
Notice from the Pairs Head Committee:
Dear all,
This Sunday is Pairs Head. We're going ahead (against all the odds) thanks to a brilliant team of volunteers working night and day etc etc. Usually I would be asking you all to come down and shout but this year I have to ask you all to stay away! Do not come down to watch, or cheer, or support. We are subject to some really stringent COVID regulations, and we must be seen to be minimising our activity so as not to cause unnecessary contact.
If you are racing please ask your 'loved ones' not to come down to watch. We will be using the Boathouse as our race control, and we need to keep the hard clear of people so that those involved in racing or organising can operate safely and with distance.
The success of Pairs Had will have an impact on whether the other Tideway Head Races will run, so please please, this request really does apply to you! Thank you.
