St. Neots Regatta, 27th/28th July 2002

I am very pleased to announce that Cygnet was successful at last weekend's St Neots Regatta. On Sunday, the Novice Coxed Fours won a qualifying pot. The crew racing was from bow: Eric Irvine, Chris Davidson, Marco Calzone and Dave Humber, coxed by Ruth Wilson. They beat Peterborough by a length and a half in the semi final, and Northampton by a length in the final over 500m.

The Senior 3 Coxed Four won a very satisfying race, beating crews from Twickenham, De Montfort University Leicester, Boston, and York. The Senior 3 crew racing was from bow: Mark Wilson, Nathan Wallace, Gavin Bottomley and Ian Stephenson, coxed by Marjorie Israel.

The Senior 3 VIII and the Senior 4 coxed four were unfortunately unable to get through the heat. See the blog for the real deal.
