GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR 2003:

Parking: Hounslow Borough Council insists that the following rules must be followed:-

1) No vehicles to be parked or driven on any grassed area.

2) Trailers can be manhandled and parked on the grassed area away from the river.  But no vehicles.

3) All vehicles to be parked where appropriate and available and not cause any road blockage.

4) Boats are to be carried across the road to the riverside grass and there assembled on slings.

5) At least two slings must be brought for each craft

6) Each club is responsible for clearing away any rubbish.

7) Do not park in the bay near the boathouse which gives access for boats and emergency vehicles from the Drive and the Meadows to the narrow ramp down to our slipway.

Timetable: Your crews must keep to the launching schedule (which will also be posted on our boatshed doors) and must obey the instructions of the Boating Marshals.

Readiness: Your equipment must be ready for use and conform with ARA safety rules before your crew is called to boat. Do not expect to adjust or repair equipment at the waterside. Your coxswains or steersmen should be properly briefed beforehand on the particular challenges of boating on fast-moving tidal water, and on the special Tideway navigation rules of the PLA.

Queries: To David Jillings, Tel: 020 7323 8742 (office) or e-mail: djillings@thebritishmuseum.ac.uk

Boating Charge:  £10 per crew, to be paid before numbers can be given out.  Cheques to Civil Service Boathouse Executive or Emanuel School.

Emanuel: Guests of the school will not be allowed into the Emanuel changing rooms unless the £10 boating charge has been paid

HAVE A GOOD ONE!
