You'll also need to find current members to propose and second you but that's rarely a problem! Completed application forms will be dealt with at the next committee meeting. You don't have to wait until the committee has approved your application to continue training and rowing but you may not race or steer for the club until you are formally a member.
Cygnet RC is a Civil Service club but you don't need to be a civil or public servant to join. Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC) members do pay a smaller sub but even our full sub is amongst the most competitive on the Tideway. This year's annual subscription rates, which do not include race fees, are:

Complete beginners will have to first undertake a Learn to Row course. Once the course is complete, the cost of the course will then be deducted from your subscription, if you decide to join the club.

By applying for membership and paying a subscription to Cygnet RC, you agree to comply with the club's Code of Conduct. The committee reserves the right to eject members, without refund, who do not conduct themselves accordingly or bring the club into disrepute.
Cygnet Rowing Club is affiliated to the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC), members of which are eligible for a discount on their annual subscription. CSSC membership is open to Civil Servants and many other public sector workers, and also to friends of CSSC members, through Linked Membership. All club members are encouraged join the CSSC.
