Alan's Birthday Tour

There's an argument which says that Alan Cox has taught more Cygnets to row in the last 40 years than anyone else at the club. He's also taught most of them how to drink properly plus coxed a fair few into the bargain – but then so he should with a name like that. This is of course, just a polite way of say that Alan has been around a long time – 70 years in fact. 

To celebrate this milestone his good friend Mucha from RG Benrath suggested a birthday tour down the Thames. With Alan also being a member of Weyfarers RC (a touring club based opposite the Bungalow) it seemed like the perfect plan and after a huge amount of planning, last week Alan's Birthday Tour got underway from Goring Gap finishing three days later in Weybridge. 

Members new and old (mostly old) from Cygnet, Benrath and Weyfarers jumped in at various stages and a jolly good time was had by all.
