Head Race Boating Request

This form is to be used to book Head race boating from 

• Cygnet RC or BBLRC – both are on BROE, depending on the race
• Emanuel School BC – only available to junior clubs/schools, and as advised by your contact at Emanuel School.

Note: Emanuel School BC has limited capacity for guests, so booking boating with them only guarantees a spot on Duke Meadows (as long as you are not booking when a race is already flagged as full). This spot may be with Cygnet RC / BBLRC, in which case the Cygnet/BBL fees will apply.

No news is good news, so we will not contact you unless there is an issue with your booking: this includes, most particularly, letting you know if you were to be unsuccessful in securing a spot with Emanuel BC (but have a guaranteed boating spot) or if you booked after we had announced full capacity.

Boating times will ever rarely be published more than 48h before a race – we are all volunteers after all. So please do not email for these.
We understand nevertheless that you need to plan travel, so here are a few rules of thumb

We are a large boating location (up to 60 crews for 8+ races, more for small boats races), with a not so large landing stage, so boating generally starts 90 minutes before the race (although in cold weather we make all effort to compress this)

Given our location towards the tail end of the marshalling zones, the smaller your number (the earlier your start), the earlier you will need to boat, even more so if you are marshalling on the opposite (Surrey) side

Boating fees from BBL & Cygnet Rowing Clubs are payable by card or cash when you collect your race numbers from the numbers desk,

Boating fees from Emanuel School Boat Club are payable to Emanuel School, following guidance from Emanuel School's team. These fees amount to £65 per trailer.

Boating fees pay primarily for portaloos. BBL & Cygnet do not have sufficient space to accommodate crews or kit storage in the clubhouse or changing rooms. For junior clubs booked with Emanuel School Boat Club, please contact their team regarding what access you may get.
