Barnes Bridge footpath closures

Dear Stakeholder,

I am writing to let you know that there will be a nighttime footpath closure on Barnes Bridge, from Saturday 2 August to Saturday 6 September.

The closure will allow our engineers to work safely to remove the middle girders from each span of the railway bridge. This work is part of our ongoing engineering project to strengthen Barnes bridge and improve the railway in the area. More information can be found here

The team will allow pedestrians access until 23:00 to accommodate late-night train passengers and local sports club members on the Chiswick side. After 23:00 a diversion over Chiswick bridge will be in place until 06:00 in the morning.

We will be writing to local residents, stakeholders and putting up information posters on the bridge itself. I’d be very grateful if you could further share this information with your members. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to let me know.
