Ronnie Lambe

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Ronnie Lambe, one of the stalwarts of Cygnet RC, passed away last night, Tuesday 30 August. He was 97.
Although many new members may not know Ronnie, as his health meant he was unable to attend Club functions for the past few years, he has been a pillar of the Club since he joined in 1947. He served for many years as Club Secretary, as well as CSBE Secretary and did a splendid job for both. When I took over as Club Secretary, the handover was an easy one, as Ronnie was always available to answer questions.
Ronnie's funeral will take place on Friday 23rd September in Guildford. All Cygnet members are welcome so please contact the Secretary if you would like details of the funeral arrangements.
We will post an obituary in due course. In the meantime, I am sure you'll join me in sending our thoughts to Ronnie's children and extended family.
