The Veterans Christmas Lunch

On 15 December, sixteen 'mature' members of Cygnet sat down to Christmas lunch in the Battle of Britain suite at the RAF Club, courtesy of Chris Tarry (who is a member of the latter). Those present spanned five generations stretching back to Lawrence McVeigh's era, who was kind enough to organise the gathering for yet another year.
Much wine was drunk and the president was in expansive mode, yet decorum was maintained at all times. Alas, anno domini constantly depletes our numbers – we bid farewell to Richard du Parcq and John Ellis in 2025 – so we are always on the look out for new members past and present. What better way to start the festive season in 2026? Watch this space!'
