Club day

Good Afternoon Rowers & Friends,
As you may know the clubs hold a Club Day at the end of the summer each year. It's an opportunity for BBL and Cygnet to get together have some silly races and then bring friends and family along for a picnic in the garden. This year we are having to do things a little differently but we still want to take the opportunity to have a low-key get together, with a little rowing.
As usual we will have some Club Day rowing in the morning but it will be a time trial rather than side-by-side and we are limited by the number of boats we have available. We will also have a BYO picnic plus bar will be open afterwards (please note the changing rooms and showers are not in use). We are also looking into getting Crewroom to bring their bargain bin along to along, which will be good for grabbing a bargain and topping up your stash.
We will have two divisions (with enough of a gap to clean the kit) both running from Chiswick bridge to Barnes Bridge. If you want to row please fill in this form by close of play on Tuesday 1st Sep. Boats will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We will send out the draw on Friday so you know what time you need to be at the club on Sunday.
For the picnic please bring your own food and utensils (you won't be able to grab any from the kitchen). We will set the clubhouse bar up outside at the back and be selling bottles from there (the contactless system works outside so card payments will still be in use). Access to the toilets will be on a one way system and the usual COVID measures and social distancing will be in place.
Please also fill in the form to let us know if you want to come to the picnic as we need an idea of numbers to work out if we can be in the garden or if we need to head up to the meadow to have more space to spread out and maintain social distance. It's not binding however so you are very welcome to change your mind. If the weather looks less than friendly we will make a call closer to the day.
