  • LXXXI Deneb Captain's Log - Merry Christmas!

    Author: Neil Pickford |

    24th December 2019

    Dear Cygnets,

The last log from this year.

    Saturday:
Good outing in an 8+ unfortunately the second Outing was cancelled due to Ebb Tide red flag. Please be careful out there.

After it has been raining heavily, it is possible that the tide can be coming in i.e. the river level is rising but the stream continues to flow out - you should always steer according to the stream is doing and not the tide.

    Sunday:
We were delighted to name the latest addition to our fleet - a new Jano VIII which is named for the late, great Noel Davison. It was fantastic that Noel's wife Eleanor was able to do the honours by pouring a bottle champagne in his honour.Thank you all attendees.

There was also a 300 club draw done on the day and the winners will be posted shortly.

Finally, Thank you all for the wonderful 2019. Have a good Holiday with family and friends. Christmas is a time for giving, be nice to each other, enjoy the magic if you believe in it, and set a good platform for 2020.

The main events for the first quarter of 2020 are in Fitclub, Please update your availability in https://www.fitclub.me/user/attendance and fill in the following questionnaire Cygnet Questionnaire Dic 19/2020 (Please let me know if you have any problems opening it.)

Have a Lovely Christmas Eve!! See you all next year harder, better, faster, stronger and leaner.

Merry Christmas / Feliz Navidad / Joyeux Noel / Frohe Weihnachten/ God Jul !!!

    Cris
