Dear Cygnets,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Greetings everyone and Thank you all who made it to the last OGM and voted for the captaincy for the next year: Sam Sears (Deputy); Tom Broadhurst (Vice); and myself (Captain). Thank you very much, it is a great Honour. Many thanks to Niall, for his fantastic hard work as deputy captain during the last year. Also many thanks to Richard Du Parcqs for the fantastic catering provided to celebrate his 50^th year as a member of Cygnet!
This weekend we are going to St Neots where we have entered an 8+, and 4+ for Saturday and an 8+ , 4+ and 2 singles for Sunday.
Safety: If you row to Putney please take extra care with the works at Fulham FC
Don't forget the new TIDEWAY CODE which PLA launched last month. Steerers, Coxes, please take a good look.
Thursday Social: as per Rupert's email. Matt will be cooking this week please let him know if you are staying for food after outings, training, loading the trailer.

Dear Cygnets,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend and if you are an English Cricket fan - Congratulations on the World Cup.
Tuesday
Ordinary General Meeting. 20.15 - Club Boathouse (election of the Captaincy for the forthcoming season and proposal to purchase a new 8).
It is also a very special occasion of one of our most venerable members, Mr Richard du Parcq's - 50^th year as a member of Cygnet. Richard has very kindly offered to mark the occasion with some nibbles and drinks in the bar during/after the OGM. Thank you Richard. Also we will saying farewell to Eric who is returning to Paris. So please come along ... the more the merrier 😉

Dear Cygnets,
I hope everyone had a nice summer weekend.
Henley Friday:
Many Thanks to the Sly Family for hosting us another year at Old Blades. Thanks to Marj for coordinating the picnic and to all attendees who made it possible, bringing food and drinks. Good to see some young and not so young faces together. Also thanks to Hannah for organising the taxis. I hope everyone had a good time and were able to enjoy some racing.
In other sad news:
Ronald Hext has passed away on the 25^th June, only days after his 86^th birthday. Obituary -Funeral details
Racing:
This Weekend is Henley Masters. We are not there but the Ladies are - Good luck to BBL!!
Our next stops are going to be St Neots, Henley Town Visitors, Peterborough and City of Oxford - Please update your availability in fitclub.me by the end of the week so we can plan the best racing combos.
Safety:
The river is closed Friday (12th July) between Chiswick eyot and Fulham reach 7am to 5pm.
