    9th October 2018

    Guten Tag Cygnets !!!!!

I hope everyone had a fantastic racing weekend!

    Pairs Head:
LONDON Wet, Wild, Windy , Matt couldn't describe it better. Congratulations to all CYG and BBL racing crews, for their results in these tough conditions; especially our Cyg 2x (Gareth and Simon), who missed the pennant by 0.7s. Well done Everyone and Huge Thanks to all volunteers, launch drivers, marshals, attendees, and the Ladies for their fantastic catering offering warm beverages.

    CYG Times: Pairs Head Results

    201/ Open 2x Masters C Simon & Gareth 15:17.
    853 / Open 2- Intermediate Sam & Scott 16:02.6

    Rhein Marathon:
DUSSELDORF A few km away it was another story Sunny, Dry, Warm conditions, a few waves and slow water so a little more effort than usual was required for the 43km row. But still below the 3h for both crews: 02:45:07 (Mike C, Nick W ,Tom B, Katy B & Fabien) vs 02:48:52 (Neil P, Cris C ,Anna C, Marj I and Tichel). Well done!!! Both boats merged afterwards in a strong Eating/Drinking/Dancing Squad leaded by Mike and Alan partying with the youngsters until late (and because they close the venue).

Vielen Dank to our Benrath friends for hosting us another year and huge thanks to Marj for organizing. Looking forward to the next one, we might need to go back and see if Mike C is right and this was the "worst" Rhein Marathon ever 😉

Enjoy the fantastic pics from both events in our social media.
