  • From the kit man

    Author: Neil Pickford |

    15th January 2021

I hope this finds you all well and surviving the latest lockdown with all the land-based exercise that you need.

We've been working with our Kit Supplier Crewroom on a functional bit of kit to help with COVID requirements and keep you warm on land and eventually on the water with the offer of these Snoods / face coverings / neck warmers - personalised with CYG décor.

These can be used as a COVID face covering when out and about (and on the hard when restrictions ease) and as protection against those cruel north-easterlies this time of year. For those of you who only row for the kit, something else to add to the collection.

Cygnet branding will be available on either the high-viz or navy blue designs - if we place an order of 8+ they will run at just under £20. More details about them are here. The Cygnet-specific designs are in the attached mock up.

If you are interested, please contact me by email or via the Social Secretary Contact Form by Monday 18th January and then I will contact you direct about placing the order and confirm the final cost. This isn't a full kit window, just the chance to order one of these handy bits of kit.

Any questions, please drop me a line. In the meantime, wishing you all well and hope the spring tides are upon us soon to be back afloat making the best of it on the fairway.

    Warmest wishes

    Rupert

PS: For those of you on Strava: Crewroom are running a kit promotion this month, search for their club on the App for more info and the chance to get yourself some extra free kit.

    5th January 2021

    Dear Cygnets,

Happy New Year. I hope everyone is doing well and had a good Christmas.

Unfortunately the year couldn't start any worse with Tier 5 / Lockdown 3.0 now in place.

See the updated British Rowing Advice here. Effectively no rowing or use of the facilities until further notice.

We will try to update the training to the new situation to be ready for when we can go back on the water. (for the time being, please continue with the lockdown training programme)

Have a nice evening, keep positive :) and keep safe

    Cris
